Inverse Relationships

</280404>

I can usually tell when a friend of mine gets attached. She will ask me out one last time, leading me on until she can properly tell me that she's found THE ONE. Then she will just drop off the radar because everyone becomes second priority. Of course, when the whole affair is over, she comes back full force.

Well, she's found anoTHEr ONE and she's says she's happy. I like her, so I'd like her to be happy too. But it turns out I'm suffering from a severe case of sour-grapism, because as I was typing my email in reply, a poem accidentally slipped out from under my fingers:

we're always happy
at the happy part
and nobody wants to be apart.
but when things become crappy,
and of that happening I can guarantee,
nobody wants to be a part.
