Up the Stairs

The entrance to the living section of the shophouse is a dark and steep staircase by the side of the old shop's gates. The other entrance is from the back, which is guarded by two dogs. The dogs do not recognize me, which is why I do not enter from there.

The stairs lead directly into First Uncle's lair. We leave our shoes on the stairs, to the peril of those who do not look before climbing the steps. >>
