Rooftop Jerusalem
A lone soldier stands upon the roof of the Old City. The reason for machine-gunned security is not very apparent, but when Jews, Christians and Moslems live alongside each other, I hear, tensions tend to fray. 

In the distance, the gold-leaved roof of the Dome of the Rock houses a large slab of stone from which the world was created. If my memory serves me right, it was also the point from which Moses launched himself heavenward to receive the ten commandments from God. His footprint can purportedly be seen if you're meticulous or imaginative enough to look for it.
